Museum Studies Practicum

Museum Studies Practicum

The Museum Studies Practicum at Auburn is designed to give students hands-on training in the theory and practice of museum work. Students meet museum professionals, take field trips, assess exhibits and programs, and ultimately produce their own work for a museum or other cultural heritage partner. Students in Fall 2019 designed two exhibits “Woven into Our History: Traditional Basketmaking in Alabama,” and the exhibit above which focused on the enslaved workers and landscape of an Auburn plantation.
